Yes, foreigners can buy property in Dubai in designated freehold areas. Dubai has a well established freehold property system that allows expats and foreign nationals to own property outright.

Off-plan property refers to real estate purchased directly from a developer before construction is complete. It typically offers lower entry prices, flexible payment plans and capital appreciation potential.

When buying property in Dubai, expect to pay a 4% Dubai Land Department transfer fee, 2% agent commission, and registration fees of around AED 4,000.

You do not need a visa to buy property in Dubai. However, purchasing property worth AED 750,000 or more makes you eligible for a UAE property investor visa.
